Leviticus 4:32-35International Standard Version
32 “If he brings a lamb for his offering, he is to bring a female without defect. 33 He is to lay his hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it for a sin offering at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered. 34 Then the priest is to take blood with his finger and put it on the horn of the altar for burnt offering. Then he is to pour the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. 35 Then the presenter is to remove all its fat, just as the fat was removed from the sacrifice of the peace offering. The priest is to burn it on the altar over the offerings made by fire to the Lord. This is how the priest will make atonement for him concerning the sin that he had committed. It will be forgiven him
Hebrews 5:4-10 International Standard Version 4 No one takes this honor upon himself but he is called to it by God, just as Aaron was. The Messiah’s Qualifications as High Priest 5 In the same way, the Messiah[a] did not take upon himself the glory of being a high priest. No, it was God who said[b] to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.”[c] 6 As he also says in another place, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”[d] 7 As a mortal man,[e] he offered up prayers and appeals with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his devotion to God. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience through his sufferings 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him, 10 having been designated by God to be a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek.

He was born in Egypt and served in the Tabernacle throughout most of the 40 years that the Jews traveled through the desert. Aaron was the brother of Moses and Miriam, and the progenitor of all future priests (kohanim). He was remembered as a peace-maker, beloved by all. Birth and Early Life Aaron was the second child born to Amram and Yocheved more than 83 years before the Exodus. As members of the tribe of Levi, his family was exempt from the slavery that the rest of the Israelites were subject to (read: Why Didn’t Pharaoh Enslave the Tribe of Levi?).

Deuteronomy 32:3-6 International Standard Version 3 For I’ll proclaim the name of our Lord. Ascribe greatness to our God! 4 Flawless is the work of the Rock, because all his ways are just. Is he not your father, who bought you, formed you, and established you?
